Actias IsisThank you for 100 follows!
Thanks! I’ve always really loved making beadwork and a few years ago decided to try some 3D stuff using patterns found online, for animals and objects etc. Bugs are small and delicate and fun to recreate using little glass beads, and once I got a big collection of diverse colours I was able to get more accurate representations <: It took a long time and a lot of practice to get results like these, hahah.

These past few weeks we housed a monarch’s cocoon and she emerged, so we had a little photo op! She was a little runty too, so she really matched the beaded version :)
I love the way monarchs tuck their front legs in and march around like little turrets.
This is a commission from the wonderful Marty !
